A Fishersville man arrested in October was recently indicted by the Augusta County grand jury on nearly a dozen child pornography charges, court records show.
In June, an investigation of David W. Watkins, 47, began after the Waynesboro Police Department contacted the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office concerning information he was allegedly in possession of child porn.
The sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at a home in the 1500 block of Goose Creek Road in Fishersville. Narcotics and child porn were discovered in the residence, an arrest report said.

Authorities served the child pornography arrest warrants on Oct. 18 while Watkins was already behind bars at Middle River Regional Jail for other charges.
On Oct. 10, in Augusta County he pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a gun while in possession of a Schedule I or II drug, reckless handling of a firearm, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and marijuana possession. He was given one month behind bars.
Watkins was recently indicted by the grand jury on one count of possession of child pornography and nine additional counts of child porn possession, second or subsequent offense.
Watkins faces a maximum of 95 years in prison if convicted on all of the child porn charges.
