How to Ace a Job Interview

There’s only so much research and preparation you can do before going in to interview for a new job.

But even if you’ve already LinkedIn stalked your potential new boss and practiced your “What’s your biggest weakness?” answer, there are still day-of-interview concerns to attend to.

First, before you leave the house make sure your outfit is not something that could trigger a subconscious reaction from the interviewer, so stick with neutrals.

If you’re running late, it’s best to reschedule instead of arriving out of breath. But be forewarned: You may only reschedule once! So make extra effort to be on time in the future.

During the interview, make sure to offer a warm handshake, keep your body language open and expressive, and always have thought-provoking questions on hand to ask the interviewer. Afterward, always send a thank you note (and don’t just copy and paste!)
