The Dangers of the Deep Web – The Atlantic

The new documentary Down the Deep, Dark Web explores the promise and perils of the deep web—the part of the internet that isn’t indexed through search engines. Yuval Orr is an Israeli journalist who became fascinated with the darknet, and spent months talking to tech experts and crypto-anarchists about what the deep web can be used for. In this excerpt from the film, Orr is at the start of his journey of uncovering the deep web: it’s an unregulated marketplace, a space for hidden revolutions, drugs, terrorism, and child pornography.

Down the Deep, Dark Web is represented by the media agency Xhibition. For more information, and to find out how to watch the full film, visit http://www.downthedeepdarkweb.com/.
